Roger fought a long, hard battle over his last 6 weeks with Covid that led to pneumonia. During his intubation period, he suffered multiple severe strokes which he could not overcome. More details to follow.
Roger was a stand-up, funny guy and one helluva soccer player! We attended Mid-America Soccer camp together. He lived in my neighborhood and nearly everyday in high school he'd wait for me to get off the bus. We'd chat about school and soccer before we split to go to our respective houses. I've never forgotten that simple act of kindness that Roger certainly didn't have to demonstrate my direction - since I was sort of an awkward kid in HS - which the rather imposing Roger certainly was not! This is a tragic loss to his own and the Edison family. Rest in peace my dear friend.
